Q. Am I required to participate in this program?

A. Not at all. This is strictly a voluntary benefit program, but you should give serious consideration to participation in view of the many benefits provided.

Q. What happens if I terminate employment or retire?

A. Many coverages are portable and can be continued by making payments directly to the insurer. Just let us know ahead of time, and we'll work together.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. The premium depends on the coverage you select, but there is a minimum.

Q. Does this policy replace my present group insurance?

A. No. It supplements your other coverage.

Q. If utilizing Section 125, how am I affected by the pre-tax deduction of my premium?

A. The amount of premium for the benefits you select will be deducted from your wages prior to the calculation of FIT and FICA withholding taxes. This, in effect, increases your net paycheck by the amount of taxes that would have been withheld on those premiums.
